Hi, I’m Mitch. 
I created Tagalog With Mitch because I believe language is one of the most meaningful ways to connect with people, culture, and history.
Proudly Filipino
As a Filipino, I have always been proud of the warmth, resilience, and hospitality of our people. The Philippines is a country filled with beautiful islands, rich traditions, inspiring stories, and heroes who sacrificed so much for the generations that followed.
Every time I teach Tagalog, I feel like I am sharing a small piece of that heritage with the world.
Why I Started Teaching
My journey as a tutor began with a simple goal: helping people communicate with the people they love.
Over time, I met learners who wanted to speak with their Filipino partners, connect with family members, understand their roots, or feel more at home when visiting the Philippines.
A Different Approach
What I noticed was that many learners spent years memorizing words and phrases but still struggled to have real conversations.
I wanted to create a different experience. One that focuses on understanding, confidence, and meaningful communication.
That vision became Tagalog With Mitch.
More Than a Language
More than a language school, my dream is to build a welcoming community where people can learn Tagalog while gaining a deeper appreciation for Filipino culture, values, traditions, and history.
I want every learner to feel connected not only to the language but also to the people and stories behind it.
